Business Partners

In accordance with the requirements of SB44, all California Partnership Academies are required to have participation from the local business community.  The ATPA is fortunate to have over 50 willing and active business partners.  Our partners range from small local auto repair shops up through large world wide automotive corporations.  Business partners may participate in the academy by performing one or more of the following.

  • Serve on the Academy Advisory Board
  • Serve as a guest speaker
  • Chaperone Field-Study trips
  • Provide equipment/tool/vehicle donations
  • Serve as a Trainer/Mentor in our Internship program
  • Provide a site for Job Shadowing and/or Internship program
  • Attend academy functions (like Meet the Industry Night, etc.)
  • Hire academy graduates (as practical)
  • Review technical curriculum and make recommendations
  • Provide technical support for our Troubleshooting Team

All donations of time, money, equipment, or training by our business partners are considered a contribution to a certified California Partnership Academy and may be tax deductible.  In years past, our business partners have contributed close to $100,000.00 per year to our academy through direct and in-kind contributions.  If any one you know is interested in becoming a partner in the ATPA, they may call the academy office at (949) 366-9843 at any time.
